How anti-wrinkle injections work
Botulinum toxin type A is a protein that blocks the signal from the nerve to the specific muscle it is injected into, so that muscle contracts less. Lines caused by repeated movement, such as forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet, become shallower, and muscles enlarged by heavy use, such as the jaw or calves, gradually shrink as they rest. The effect is not permanent: as the nerve forms new endings, the muscle returns to normal function within 3–6 months.

Types and brands we use
The clinic uses only botulinum toxins registered with the Thai FDA. Brands the doctor may choose include Botox (Allergan), Dysport, Xeomin, Nabota, Botulax and Letybo. Each differs in molecular size, spread and unit equivalence, and the doctor selects according to the area, the precision required and how you have responded before. Before injecting, the box is opened so you can see the product name, lot number and expiry date, and the product is reconstituted in front of you so you can be confident you receive the agreed units.
Results over time
Aftercare
- Do not massage, press or rub the treated area for 24 hours, so the product does not spread to neighbouring muscles
- Avoid lying flat for the first 4 hours and avoid bending your head down for long periods on the first day
- No strenuous exercise, saunas or alcohol for 24 hours
- Make-up can be applied after 4 hours. Wash your face as normal with a gentle touch
- Leave at least 1–2 weeks before laser, HIFU or facial massage
- Attend your 2-week review
Not for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, people with neuromuscular disorders (myasthenia gravis, ALS), anyone with an infection at the injection site, or anyone allergic to the product's ingredients. Tell the doctor if you take aminoglycoside antibiotics. Possible side effects include small bruises, a headache for 1–2 days, a temporary brow or eyelid droop (around 1–3%, usually improving within 2–6 weeks) and an asymmetric smile. Injection by a doctor who understands the muscle anatomy reduces these risks but cannot eliminate them entirely

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my face look frozen or expressionless?
It depends on the dose and placement. The clinic's approach is to soften the lines while keeping your expressions. If you prefer a very still forehead, that is also an option, and the doctor will discuss it with you before injecting.
When will my face look slimmer after jaw injections?
Most people start to see a change at 4 weeks, with a clear result at 2 months. The first time may need two sessions 3–4 months apart. If the jaw is wide because of bone, the injections will help only a little.
Is it true you can become resistant with frequent injections?
The body can form antibodies to the proteins in the product. This is uncommon, but the chance rises if you inject more often than every 3 months or use very high units. The clinic therefore recommends spacing treatments and may choose a product with fewer complexing proteins for regular patients.
If I stop, will my lines be worse than before?
No. The muscles return to normal function and the lines return to where they would naturally be for your age. While the muscles were resting, the lines generally did not deepen, so you have lost nothing.
