Skin boosters Profhilo, Rejuran and NCTF: injectable rejuvenation for hydrated, refined skin
Skin boosters are injections of non-cross-linked HA, polynucleotides or vitamins into the upper layers of the skin to make it better hydrated, finer-textured and stronger. They do not add volume. Typically 2–3 sessions, then maintenance every 4–6 months.
How skin boosters differ from filler
Filler adds volume and reshapes the face; skin boosters improve skin quality. They suit dry, dull skin, enlarged pores, fine lines, shallow acne marks and tired-looking skin, concerns that lasers or creams can only partly address. Delivering the product directly into the dermis gives a clearer result. Skin usually looks more hydrated within 1–2 weeks, and the improvements in texture and elasticity become clear 4–8 weeks after completing the course.

- Skin boosters do not add volume. Deep folds and hollow cheeks will not improve
- Results depend on your skin's starting condition and your care. Sunscreen and moisturiser are still essential
- Rejuran is derived from salmon. Tell the doctor if you have a seafood allergy
- Not for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or anyone with severe inflamed acne or an active cold sore in the area
- Can be combined with laser, spaced 1–2 weeks apart or on the same day in the order the doctor sets

Profhilo or Rejuran: which should I choose?
Profhilo focuses on hydration and elasticity in skin that is starting to sag. Rejuran focuses on repair, calming inflammation and improving acne marks. People aged 35 and over with early laxity usually suit Profhilo, while oily, acne-prone skin with acne marks suits Rejuran. The doctor assesses you first.
Will I see results after one session?
A single session gives a temporary boost in hydration for 1–2 months. Improvements in texture and elasticity need the full 2–3 sessions, so we recommend completing the course and then maintaining every 4–6 months.
Does it hurt? How much downtime?
After numbing cream it feels like a series of ant bites. There are small bumps and redness for a day, and you can work as normal the next day.
